Andreas Moser is a
research staff
member at the Hitachi San Jose Research Center. He received his Ph.D.
degree in physics at the University of Basel, Switzerland, where he
imaged and manipulated vortices in high-Tc superconductors using low
temperature magnetic force microscopy. Since 1996, he focuses on the
characterization of high-density magnetic recording media and the
exploration of new recording schemes, capable of extremely high-density
recording. He is currently working on the recording physics of
high-density perpendicular recording. Andreas Moser has
authored
and co-authored eight patents and more than sixty technical
publications in peer-reviewed journals.
